Go on a Mission Trip to Piura, Peru with Vera Aqua Vera Vita to improve sustainable access to water and wastewater services for the people in need so that they can flow from simply surviving to ultimately thriving!
Vera Aqua Vera Vita is currently working with multiple communities in the Piura Region of Peru to improve their water and wastewater infrastructure so that they can flow from simply surviving to ultimately thriving! This is a list of some of the work we will be doing:
- Manual labor in solidarity with residents of the communities we are serving and alongside the construction contractor that VAVV hires to build and install new clean water infrastructure.
- Implementing our Water and Sanitation Hygiene (WASH) + Theology of the Body (TOB) Education Workshops in 3-four-hour sessions in at least one of the communities we are currently serving.
- Delivering ~1,200 Care Packages (https://veraaquaveravita.org/care-package-program) across various communities we serve or have served.
- $750 paid to VAVV for Lodging, Food, Ground Trasport, Day at Beach, Site-Seeting, etc.
- ~$1500 paid to Travel Agent for Flights + Travel insurance + Food on your own
All Arrangements for Transportation during our days doing Mission Work and for our visit to the Beach in Piura
All Accomodation Arrangements during our stay in Piura as we will be staying at the Santisimo Sacramento Mission Center (https://www.santisimo.org/us-content/)
All Meals (3/day) are covered during our stay in Piura whether they be at Santisimo Sacramento where we are lodging or eating out at a restaurant
One Celebratory meal during time while on Mission Trip in Piura
All expenses associated with our day of rest and relaxation at the beach towards the end of the trip
Missionaries encouraged but not required to book both Intn'l + Domestic Flights using our partner Travel Agency for the best rates & secure tickets on the same flight as everyone else
Traveler Insurance is mandatory and is encouraged to be purchased through our Travel Agent by each missionary
Basic Trip Cancellation/Interruption Insurance is not included; however, it is recommended that missionaries purchase this on their own to protect the financial investment of their trip
All meals/food at the airport flying to/from the various destinations are the sole responsibility of the missionary
All transportation in and around city of Lima on Monday August 3rd

Day 1: American Airlines (AA) (DFW to Miami | AA 3083 | Depart: 3:39pm - Arrive: 7:40pm) + AA (Miami to Lima | AA385 | Depart: 11:31pm - Arrive: 4:10am [+1 Day – Overnight])
Day 2: LATAM Airlines (Lima to Piura | LA 2306 | Depart: 9:30am - Arrive: 11:15am) | Staff from the Mission Center, Santisimo Sacramento, where we will be staying will pick us up at the airport in Piura
Mission Work may include meeting the people we are serving, manual labor to assist in construction efforts, education workshops, engineering, administering survey assessments, various data collection, etc.
Day 8: Beach Day in Colon, Piura
Day 9: LATAM Airlines (Piura to Lima | LA2303 | Depart: 7:55am - Arrive: 9:25am) + Optional Site-Seeing on your own dollar and time in Lima (11:00am - 7:00pm) + American Airlines (Lima to Miami | AA918 | Depart 10:00pm - Arrive: 4:57am (+1 Day – Overnight))
Day 10: American Airlines (Miami to DFW | AA1227 | Depart: 8:40am - Arrive: 11:05am)
