About your trip
Go on a Mission Trip to Piura, Peru with Vera Aqua Vera Vita to improve sustainable access to water and wastewater services for the people in need so that they can flow from simply surviving to ultimately thriving!
What will we be doing?
VAVV is currently working with multiple communities in the Piura Region of Peru to improve their water and wastewater infrastructure so that they can flow from simply surviving to ultimately thriving!
- We will be doing manual labor in solidarity with residents of the communities we are serving and the construction contractor that VAVV hires to build and install new clean water infrastructure.
- We will, also, be implementing our Water and Sanitation Hygiene (WASH) + Theology of the Body (TOB) Education Workshops in 3-half-day sessions in at least one of the communities we are currently serving.

All Meals (3/day) are covered during our stay in Piura whether they be at Santisimo Sacramento where we are lodging or eating out at a restaurant

Ground Transport in Lima
All Arrangements for Transportation during our day of Site-Seeing in Lima
Site-Seeing Lunch
Lunch at a nice restaurant while in Lima for site-seeing
Site-Seeing Activities
Entry fees to see various attractions while in Lima for site-seeing
What's not included
Flights
Missionaries encouraged but not required to book both Intn'l + Domestic Flights using our partner Travel Agency for the best rates & secure tickets on the same flight as everyone else
Travel (Med) Insurance
Traveler Insurance is mandatory and is to be purchased through our Travel Agent by VAVV for all missionaries
Cancellation Insurance
Basic Trip Cancellation/Interruption Insurance is not included; however, it is recommended that missionaries purchase this on their own to protect the financial investment of their trip
Food During Travel
All meals/food at the airport flying to/from the various destinations are the sole responsibility of the missionary
Day 1-2
Travel to Peru + Rest & Recharge
Day 1: American AA1261 (DFW to Miami: 4:35pm – 8:31pm) + AA385 (Miami to Lima: 11:56pm – 4:40am (+1 Day – Overnight))
Day 2: LATAM Airlines LA2304 (Lima to Piura: 7:10am – 9:05am) | Staff from Santisimo Sacramento will pick us up at the airport in Piura
Day 3-7
Mission Work
Mission Work may include meeting the people we are serving, manual labor to assist in construction efforts, education workshops, engineering, administering survey assessments, various data collection, etc.
Day 8-10
Beach + Site-Seeing + Travel Home
Day 8: Beach Day in Colon, Piura
Day 9: LATAM Airlines LA2303 (Piura to Lima: 8:15am – 9:45am) + Site-Seeing Excursion in Lima (7:30am – 7:30pm) + AA918 (Lima to Miami: 10:00pm – 5:00am (+1 Day – Overnight))
Day 10: AA1562 (Miami to DFW: 7:25am – 9:32am)
